Sync Salesforce Pipeline to Google Sheets Dashboard
The problem
Executives ask for pipeline reports in spreadsheets, but pulling data manually creates version control chaos.
Implementation steps
- 1
Set up Zapier trigger on Salesforce Opportunity (updated)
- 2
Map Salesforce fields to Google Sheets columns (deal name, stage, amount, close date, owner)
- 3
Use Zapier Formatter to calculate days in stage
- 4
Write or update row in Google Sheets using Opportunity ID as unique key
- 5
Add Google Sheets formula row for total pipeline by stage
Template outline
The structure to recreate in your own workspace. Field names and thresholds are starting points.
Zapier Steps:
1. Trigger: Salesforce > Updated Opportunity
2. Filter: Only include open opportunities (Stage != "Closed Won" AND != "Closed Lost")
3. Formatter: Calculate days in current stage
4. Google Sheets: Update Spreadsheet Row (search by Opportunity ID)
5. Paths: If new opp, create row; if existing, update rowKeep going
